Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter—read what our mission statement means to us

We recently were revisiting the mission statement of Liberty Creek Financial Services, P.S., and I am quite amazed at the functionality of the statement. It is as true today, as it was when it came to be the mission statement of Liberty Creek Financial Services, P.S. Therefore; as we move from season to season much of the statement may be reflected upon us and on our daily lives. If we are able to read the statement, “Partnering Together; We Can Maximize Financial Results; Now…and For Every Season!” the results of this statement are quite reflective of our normal day to day activity of a Certified Public Accountant.

As we experiment with the mission statement there are undoubtedly a handful of items that convey a much deeper meaning. It is during these times that we will see many of the seasons of life that are represented by the mission statement. You will see spring, and its abundance, summer and those earning years, autumn as we near upon retirement, and lastly winter, where we struggle through the final years of our life. It is this mission statement that is the essence to the four corners of our life.

SPRING
We have the vibrance and beauty of all living things as they prepare for the upcoming season of Spring. It is this time that we experience new growth and abundance upon us. This like us as Certified Public Accountants, who are under the newness and abundance of the Spring festivities. We are welcomed with the births of Children, and education planning. On top of it all is the need to plan for the intricacies for new businesses and careers. Both of these are filled with the early morning sunlight, that is challenging to see into our own baskets of goods. There is a host of activities that we may learn about. These activities include; budgeting, Form 1040, and a plethora of new activities to become excited about. These are certainly challenging times to adjust to that beautiful and brimming sunlight.

SUMMER
Summer blew in across Liberty Lake and released itself into the fine earning years of us all. This is the time of the year where we let go of our cautions and concerns and fill them up with the future earnings. Future earnings that is based on your Business Income as well as Individual Income. We have excess earnings as we move through the summers season. Time and money are expected on planning for the future. There will be questions that are brought present through the passing of our grandparents and others. We will have to begin a comfort level with our children and their dreams. Where do they want to go to school? Which type of career is correct for them? Plus, on top of it all is the prevalent thought that there is a desire to state how much you have set aside for retirement and your health concerns. All of this, plus more, will easily make this a summer to believe in. There is always room for Liberty Creek Financial Services, P.S. in the waning years of the summer season.

AUTUMN
Summer came and went so quickly, and now we are in Autumn. The vast earning years may have been somewhat overstated. But in either case, it is now the winding down of those significant earnings, to instead have significant investments that are paying off quite nicely. You may see that it is now possible to fund a significant portion of your retirement, as we are starting to think about the end of our working time. You will see many of the grandchildren scurrying about, with so much education expense. Who is going to fund those education expenses? To top it all off I own the business that provides for much of these benefits, and now must sell my prized possession. One will see that as we experience the many demands of autumn, that, hopefully it will be a season that runs very deep.

WINTER
Awe, at last, you have made it through the first several quarters of the current season, and now we are left with Winter. Winter has its own spell. It is cold, drafty, and compelling upon us as we age or need to place ourselves into a barrier. As we begin to enter the retirement years of their life, we are set, on our retirement funding. Then, however, there are changes that begin to make you see how vulnerable we are when it is time to take on the world, and its expenses. How much retirement income may go a longways towards funding these retirement goals, or perhaps you have the necessary reserves that will benefit you as we enter this period in our life. Also, what is all this non-sense about elder care and the related benefits? Perhaps this is a new item that maybe we should be putting in place. It is an item that I see is more about having choices as we continue to age.

One will see that it does not matter the age we are at, or the performance of an accounting problem, it all comes down to having the best set of rules to guard you over your lifetime. This is where Liberty Creek Financial Services, P.S. is always able to serve you. People will routinely ask me how much for the tax return? I must state that this is always a loaded question. The thought should be stated as how much value do you provide me with. For it is this, whenever it is time, for me to consider what a service is worth. The answer is the choice that has the most value, this is where I choose to place my money.
